Return the AIG Bonuses–No Pay for Non-Performance

This past Sunday, I was so upset about the AIGbonuses that I wrote a letter to the editors of the San Francisco  Chronicle and New York Times. I received a call from the Chronicle’s editorial section on Monday, saying that they planned to run my letter. I am happy to report that it was the lead editorial in today’s  (March 18) letters to the editor section (page A12).

In case you missed it, here is the link! The AIG situation has certainly tapped a nerve. Actions that lead to deep wells of negative emotions can only further tangle our economy and finances. From what I have read and can infer, AIG’s culture encouraged a sense of entitlement and lack of accountability. There are many leadership lessons in this story.
